Welcome to...
our 19th season of chamber orchestra concerts for the Centre Region!
PCO is the Centre Region's professional chamber orchestra. Founded in 1991 the orchestra has performed both rare and well-known music by the greatest composers, from the Baroque period to the present day. Maestro Douglas Meyer, the orchestra's founding conductor, serves as Conductor and Music Director and the ensemble's performers include members of Penn State's School of Music Faculty along with professionals and pre-professional students from the University. The orchestra performs regularly in State College and has carried its concerts to Philipsburg, St Marys and to the Bedford Summer Music Festival.
 Here's what we're about:
In addition to its regular series of concerts PCO provides educational services to area elementary schools through performances and demonstrations by members of the orchestra. More than 2,000 young students have been impacted by these programs.
