The mission of the Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra is to provide the Central Pennsylvania region with an artistically superb orchestra, and to develop an environment where awareness and appreciation for orchestral music will flourish.

:: COMMUNITY We are not only a vital part of the cultural heartbeat of the Centre Region but is also a unique institution providing performances, educational activities and a social environment in the arts that enriches all who participate as performers, listeners and volunteers.

:: ECONOMY Our concerts trigger revenue for restaurants, gas stations, hotels and motels and other businesses in our community. In addition PCO is a work source for professional musicians, educators, and technicians and media specialists.

:: EDUCATION Our educational programs introduce a large number of our citizens to the art of music and to inspiring performances of our orchestra. In recent years PCO musicians have visited more than 25 area elementary schools to demonstrate orchestral instruments and have brought music of our orchestra to nearly 3,000 students and tearchers.
